In his letter, the Minister hailed that over the past three months, tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, technicians and health workers from across the country, particularly the medical staff in Ho Chi Minh City and the central southern cities and provinces, have rallied efforts in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, with determination to work for the life of the patients and for the health of the people.

He commended their solidarity and strong will to overcome hardships and confront dangers to regain lives and protect the health and well-being of the people. He also appreciated the mutual support and sharing of healthcare workers for their colleagues during this challenging period.

He acknowledged that the Covid-19 fight has claimed the lives of many people, including health workers and frontline forces, leaving psychological trauma among people. However, this can’t discourage those working in the health sector who always receive support, trust and hope from millions of people, including their loved ones.

He also noted with pleasure that more and more localities have been able to take control of the pandemic, many severe and critical Covid-19 patients have been cured and returned to life.

As Vietnam is entering a decisive phase in combating the fourth Covid-19 wave, with the people and frontline forces exerting every effort to control the pandemic in the southern provinces and cities in order to bring people's lives back to the “new normal”, he called on each health worker to promote the sense of responsibility at work while coordinating with functional agencies to encourage people to follow pandemic prevention and control regulations.

He expressed his hope that authorities at all levels, businesses and the community will pay greater care to medical staff, volunteers and frontline workers in the fight against the pandemic, stressing that the support acts as strong motivation for them to soon control and repel the pandemic.

Vietnam to cooperate with French firm to conduct clinical trials of XAV-19 Covid-19 treatment drug
