Directors of Departments of Health of provinces and cities nationwide, as well as heads of units under the Ministry of Health are urged to strictly implement the Prime Minister's direction set under the Telegram No. 1300/CD-TTg, dated September 24, 2020, on strengthening the prevention and control of Covid-19.

Medical facilities are asked to well perform screening, classifying and thoroughly control of patients, while fully preparing medicines, medical supplies and equipment to receive patients and respond to any epidemic situations.

Other measures include strengthening supervision for early detection of suspected cases in the community; timely implementation of zoning and isolation to thoroughly handle any outbreaks and prevent the spread of infection in the community; and strengthening research and development of a possible vaccine against Covid-19, in addition to developing new testing methods.
