Bac Giang armed force conducts “4 locals” in Covid-19 prevention and control
All programmes are ready
Under the drastic instruction from the provincial Military Command, Covid-19 prevention and control has been done seriously under the motto “4 locals” (local prevention, quarantine, treatment; local facilities, equipment, medicine, required preventive tool; local man power; local expense) by all units.

Apart from the facilities equipped in the first Covid-19 prevention period, Regiment No 831 added 300 beds and ensured the rice, instant noodle, vegetable and pork. The apartments are cleanup while the washing rooms are upgraded and repaired.
The medical isolation center at the National Defence and Security Education Center managed by Regiment No 831 has received more than 300 citizens who returned home after visiting and working at Da Nang city.
With the gained experience in the first isolation period, the unit has closely coordinated with the Department of Health and provincial Public Security to receive the cases then provide them with health examination, disease history inspection so as to classify and arrange the accommodation to ensure sufficient living condition.

Right after Son Dong district announced the case positive to SARS-CoV-2 virus, the district Military Command mobilized 100 percent of the forces to be on duty at the disease control station and medical isolation site at Battalion No 8, Regiment No 462, Division No 338 (Corp No 1). At the communes and wards, the Militia and Self-Defense Force actively joins hands to support the people in the disease combat.
At the same time, they established the quick response team to deliver thousands of leaflets, face masks and hand sanitizers to the villagers and instruct them to follow the preventive measures.
The district Military Command also mobilized the forces to be on duty at 8 stations in the communes and towns while 35 officers were assigned to ensure the service at the medical quarantine sites. The unit actively communicated to the officers, soldiers and locals to strictly implement the disease preventive measures via the loudspeaker system, social network as well as direct propaganda.
Joint effort to prevent the disease spread
Together with communication acceleration, the provincial Military Command has paid due attention to disease preventive preparation by adding the man power, vehicle, medical facilities and supplies; adjusting the plan of disease prevention and isolation reception at the sites as regulation; seriously maintaining the man power on duty; sufficiently preparing the programmes in locating, handling the disease center to minimize the risk of cross infection among the cases and in the community.

Colonel Le Van Thang, Chief Commander of the provincial Military Command said with the experience gained in the first period of disease prevention (controlling and caring for nearly 3,000 people), this time, the provincial Military Command focuses on the motto “4 locals”, hence ensuring to well receive and care for the citizens from the epicenters in Vietnam and foreign countries.
The provincial Military Command also coordinates with the units and localities to prepare nearly 2,000 beds at the same time while joining hands with the Department of Health and provincial Public Security to be on duty 24 hours per day, ensure the service, health control and disinfectant spray.
Determining to avoid the disease spread, the units and organization under the provincial Military Command continue strictly implementing the instruction on disease prevention and control; enhancing the communication and ideology orientation to raise the awareness and responsibility of the officers and soldiers while defining it as the urgent political task.
