(BGO) – The Confederation of Labor in the northern province
of Bac Giang on October 30 presented 30 million VND (over 1,200 USD) to support
the surgery cost for Hoang To Uyen (13 months old) suffering from congenital
heart disease.

The poor child is the daughter of La Thi Tuyen, teacher and trade unionist at Tan Son Primary School (Luc Ngan district).

Representatives of the provincial Confederation of Labor present the amount to support the cost of heart surgery to the family of Nguyen Thi Huyen, a worker at Hanoi Mplus Company Limited in Tan Yen district.

The gift is under the framework of the “For the children’s heart and smile” programme in the period of 2014 – 2018 launched in the whole country by the Fund for Protection of Children’s Right (Vietnam Trade Union).
Particularly in Bac Giang province, the programme has supported a total amount of 310 million VND (over 13,200 USD) to 19 children with congenital heart disease whose parents are public servants, officers and labors living under difficult circumstances.
Labors benefit from enterprises’ due attention to cultural and spiritual life

launched by the trade unions, several enterprises operating at the Industrial
Parks (IP) in the northern province of Bac Giang has paid due attention to
building the cultural system, organizing art performances and sports events to
improve the cultural and spiritual life for the workers after finishing their
shifts.
