Hiep Hoa becomes fourth tier urban area, Tieu Mai village boat race festival recognised national cultural intangible heritage
BAC GIANG- Hiep Hoa district has solemnly held a ceremony to announce and receive decision of the Ministry of Construction on recognition of Hiep Hoa district as a fourth tier urban area and receive certificate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognising the boat race festival of Tieu Mai village, Mai Dinh commune as a national intangible cultural heritage.
At the ceremony, the leader of the Urban Development Agency under the Ministry of Construction was authorized to give the Decision by the Minister of Construction to recognise that Hiep Hoa urban area in Bac Giang province meets the criteria of fourth tier urban area.

Besides, the leader of the Cultural Heritage Department handed over the Decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on announcing the list of national intangible cultural heritage including the boat race festival of Tieu Mai village, Mai Dinh commune.
The year 2024 marked the rapid development of Hiep Hoa district with impressive achievements. Particularly, it was ranked 2nd in economic growth and the index of serving citizens and businesses and 3rd in the district and department competitiveness index (DDCI) in the entire province.
Hiep Hoa district finalized the criteria of fourth tier urban area 1 year earlier than the plan. The boat race festival of Tieu Mai village was recognised a national intangible cultural heritage.
These outstanding achievements demonstrated the comprehensive and sustainable development of the district, which have been gained thanks to the district’s efforts in promoting its potentials and advantages in line with effective mobilization of resources to leverage the development.
