Hiep Hoa district recognized as fourth tier urban area
BAC GIANG - On September 18, 2024, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 868/QD-BXD recognizing Hiep Hoa urban area of Bac Giang province to meet the criteria of fourth tier urban area.
According to the Decision, Hiep Hoa urban area meeting the criteria of fourth tier urban area include the entire administrative boundary of Hiep Hoa district with an area of 205.99 square meters.

The inner city area consists of 11 commune-level administrative units of Thang town, Bac Ly town and 9 communes of Luong Phong, Doan Bai, Thuong Thang, Danh Thang, Hung Son, Thai Son, Huong Lam, Chau Minh, Mai Dinh.
The recognition of Hiep Hoa as fourth tier urban area creates a new position and strength for the district to attract investment, continue to develop and lay the foundation for developing into Hiep Hoa township by 2030.
By 2045, Hiep Hoa strives to become a third tier urban area with outstanding characteristics of harmonious connection between tradition and modernity, an attractive image associated with the brand "green - ecological - identity - environmental landscape conservation", hence helping Hiep Hoa urban area to best exploit its potentials and advantages, further improving the quality of life of local people.
BAC GIANG - On July 31, the Prime Minister issued a Decision to recognize that Bac Giang urban area meets criteria for second tier urban area under Bac Giang province. Accordingly, the recognized second tier Bac Giang urban area in Bac Giang province includes the entire administrative boundary of the existing Bac Giang city and the existing Yen Dung district, covering an area of 258.30 square kilometers, including 34 commune-level administrative units.
