International rock band The Aristocrats to perform in Hanoi

The Aristocrats, a rock/fusion instrumental band, will hold a concert Hanoi in March as part of their Defrost tour.

The concert will be held at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi on March 3, marking the band’s return to Vietnam after its first appearance in HCMC in 2014.

The Aristocrats, a supergroup formed in 2011, consists of English guitarist Guthrie Govan, American bassist Bryan Beller, and German drummer Marco Minnemann.

A supergroup is a rock and pop music term for a group whose members are already successful and well known, either as solo performers or part of other groups.

Govan won Guitarist magazine’s "Guitarist of the Year" competition in 1993 with his instrumental piece Wonderful Slippery Thing.

Beller has maintained a multi-faceted career as a bassist, composer and solo artist for over 25 years.

Minnemann has released over a dozen solo albums as drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, and he has performed on over 100 studio albums with dozens of artists and groups.

The Aristocrats have released a number of critically acclaimed albums and have toured the world.
