Japan’s medals to be presented to Vietnamese citizens

The Japanese Government will present Japan’s Orders to two Vietnamese citizens.

On May 21, the Japanese Government announced a list of medals to be awarded to foreign people in the spring of 2019.

Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, To Huy Rua receives the Order of the Rising Sun in 2016.

Accordingly, translator Pham Duc Loi, who is Director of the Japanese Language and Culture Centre in Nam Dinh province, will receive the Order of the Rising Sun - Gold Rays with Rosette, for his contributions in promoting Japanese literature and teaching Japanese language in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Pham Kim Hang, who is a former employee of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, will be presented with the Order of the Sacred Treasure - the Silver Rays, for her long-term dedication at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam.

Hue city bestows honorary citizenship upon RoK national
Kwang Han, mayor of Namyangju city, the Republic of Korea, was conferred an honorary citizenship of Hue by the city’s authorities at a ceremony held in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on April 27.
