Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thanh praised Kwang Han’s effective and meaningful contribution to Hue.

Kwang Han, mayor of Namyangju city, the Republic of Korea, receives the honour at the ceremony.

He hoped with the new position, the RoK official will continue his support toward socio-economic, cultural, health and educational development of Thua Thien-Hue province in general and Hue city in particular.

Expressing his pride to receive the honour, Kwang Han pledged to try harder in helping more Koreans know about Vietnam.

He said he is working to push for the establishment of a direct flight between Hue and Namyangju.

The RoK mayor has made a series of efforts to boost ties between the two cities, resulting in the sides’ signing in October 2018 of a memorandum of understanding on fostering bilateral exchanges and cooperation in economy, tourism, culture, history, and other sectors of common interest.

Bac Giang: 15 individuals honored with People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist titles

Communal youth union leader Tran Danh Hung honored to receive Ly Tu Trong Prize

(BGO) – Celebrating the 88th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) on March 26 (1931-2019), the HCYU Central Committee has just awarded the Ly Tu Trong Prize in 2019 to 72 outstanding youth union officials and members nationwide. Tran Danh Hung (born in 1984), Secretary of the youth union of Xuan Phu commune (Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province) was honored to receive this award. The honor ceremony is scheduled for March 24 in Ha Tinh province.

President and CEO of Vietjet, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, has been honored as one of the two winners of the ASEAN Entrepreneurs Award 2018 for her significant contributions in bolstering economic and trade exchanges between the Republic of Korea (RoK) and ASEAN.
