More than 1 billion VND to support difficult trade union members for house renovation
BAC GIANG - Responding to the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Giang province associated with effective implementation of the "Cozy Trade Union House" program, the Provincial Labor Confederation plans to support 40 impoverished union members to renovate their houses.
Since early this year, the Provincial Labor Confederation has mobilized over 1 billion VND (over 42,000 USD) from the “Cosy Trade Union House” Fund to support the difficult members and labourers to build and repair 31, the support level ranged from 20-40 million VND per house.

Since 2008, the "Cosy Trade Union House" program has mobilized a total amount of more than 11.4 billion VND, helping 416 trade union members have spacious houses, gradually stabilize their lives and work.
On the afternoon of June 28, the Provincial Labor Federation held a ceremony to inaugurate and handover the "Cosy Trade Union House" to Nguyen Thi Quyen (born 1986), in Gieng village, Kham Lang commune (Luc Nam).
Currently, she is a commune civil servant and a member of the Kham Lang Commune Trade Union. The divorced mother now raises two young children and shares a degraded house with relatives due to difficult economic conditions.
The project was started in early 2024. It has been completed to put in use with an area of 120 square meters and total construction cost of about 600 million VND. At the event, local authority and organization in Kham Lang Commune Trade Union gave Quyen's family many gifts and essential items.
