Particularly, Viet Yen township will be established on the current natural land of 171.01 square kilometers and population of 229,162 people of Viet Yen district.

9 wards will be founded, including Bich Dong, Nenh, Tang Tien, Hong Thai, Quang Minh, Ninh Son, Van Trung, Quang Chau, Tu Lan based on the original natural area and population size of the 2 towns ( Bich Dong, Nenh) and 7 communes (Tang Tien, Hong Thai, Quang Minh, Ninh Son, Van Trung, Quang Chau, Tu Lan) in Viet Yen district.

After the arrangement, Bac Giang province will not change in terms of natural area, population size and number of administrative units at district and commune levels, but increase one township (Viet Yen township) and decrease 1 district (Viet Yen district).

After discussion, 100% of the present members of the NA Standing Committee voted to pass the resolution on the submitted contents.

Central delegation gives opinion on establishment of Viet Yen township
