Nearly 40,000 helmets presented to first grade students

(BGO) – The Department of Education and Training (DoET), the provincial Board of Traffic Safety, Honda Phu Lien Head representing Honda Vietnam in Bac Giang province on September 7 organized an event to present the helmets to the first graders in academic year 2020 – 2021 at Dong Thanh Primary School, second facility in Bac Giang city under the theme “Keeping the dream”.

In Bac Giang province, 39,684 helmets under the programme were handed over to first graders at all primary schools. Particularly, 220 students in Dong Thanh Primary School were presented the helmet.

Representative of the provincial Board of Traffic Safety receives the helmets presented by Honda Vietnam.

The meaningful gift to the students helps enhance the awareness of students and parents to obey the regulation that requests children to wear helmet when joining traffic on motorbike, motor vehicle and electric bicycle.

After the presenting ceremony, the staff of Honda Phu Lien Head instructed the students and teachers at the school the way to properly wear helmet and communicated the harm of joining traffic without helmet.

For two year implementation, nearly 4 million standard helmets have been presented by Honda Vietnam to first graders across the nation, which becomes huge campaign in the society to call for serious implementation of legal regulation on wearing helmet for children (up from 35 percent in 2017 to 70 percent in 2019).

There will be more than 1.9 million helmet to be presented to students in academic year 2020 – 2021.
