New Year 2019’s bonus increases 3.3 percent

(BGO) – According to the Division of Salary and Social Insurance (under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Bac Giang province), 149 out of 219 enterprises which submitted the report to the Division have the plan to provide New Year’s bonus to the laborers.
Accordingly, the average bonus reaches about 368,000VND (15.8 USD) per person, up 3.3 percent compared to the 2018 rate.

Among them, 3 businesses will give a bonus under 100,000 VND per person; 94 firms present a bonus of 100,000 – 500,000 VND (4 – 21.8 USD) per person; 27 enterprises provide a bonus of over 500,000 to 1 million VND (21.8 – 43 USD) per person and 25 others give a bonus of over 1 million VND per person.
Particularly, the highest bonus of 100 million VND (over 4,200 USD) was awarded by the foreign direct investment firm.
ASEAN pays attention to interests of migrant workers
The ASEAN Safe Migration Campaign was launched in Jakarta, Indonesia on December 12 to call on regional countries as well as the international community to pay attention to the interests of migrant workers who have grown rapidly in recent years.
More than 1.1 million new workers registered in 11 months
Firms established in the past 11 months of this year registered the employment of 1.1 million workers, which showed a drop of 4.5 percent year-on-year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Nearly 116,700 Vietnamese workers sent abroad in 10 months
Vietnam sent 116,675 workers, including 41,636 females, to foreign countries in the first 10 months of this year, exceeding the yearly plan by 6.07 percent.
Efforts made to observe rights of foreign workers’ social insurance
Bilateral agreements for a new generation of social insurance policy have been negotiated to support foreign workers engaging in Vietnam’s social insurance scheme, said Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) Dao Viet Anh.
