Nguyen Van Huy win two prizes at contest for excellent students

(BGO) – Student Nguyen Van Huy (born in 2001) at class 12A0, Viet Yen No.1 Senior High School won first prize at mathematics and third prize at physics in the provincial contest for excellent students from the senior high school in the academic year of 2018 – 2019.

Born in a farm family in Hoang Mai No.2 village, Hoang Ninh commune, Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province), Huy has special passion for calculation since early childhood. His teachers consider Huy as a smart and studious student.

Thanks to the second maths prize he won at the provincial contest for excellent student at nine grade, Huy was provided with direct entrance to Viet Yen No.1 Senior High School.

According to teacher Tieu Thanh Tuyet, Headmaster of Viet Yen No.1 Senior High School, Huy is very intelligent and active in the movements of the class and school. He is not only good at Maths and Physics but aslo has passion for Literature, History and Geography.

When asked to share about the study experience, Huy revealed the most important things are to love the subject and keep positive motivation so as to push himself over the challenge toward good study.

Getting the sentiment from the teachers and friends, bringing happiness to parent or conquering the old achievement make Huy more determined. Now, he sets the target to pass the entrance examination to the Army Officer College No.1, hence taking high effort to the upcoming exam.

Besides the knowledge in the school books, Huy regularly practises to solve the papers for excellent students. He always tries his best to solve any assigned exercise.

During taking the examination, Huy advised the students to read the whole paper then complete the easy parts first. They should not pay much time on the hard ones because in the multiple choice test, every part has unchanged score no matter how hard or easy it is. In case the part can not be solved, they should quit to move to another one to earn a point, he said.

By this way, Huy gained 17.25 out of 20 scores; thus becoming the student with highest score and won first prize at the provincial contest for excellent students among the non professor senior high schools.

In the studying process, the little student always takes initiative in raising the issue so that the team can solve it together or discuss about the methods and tips to solve the hard exercises; hence helping all deeply remember the knowledge.

Apart from the studying time, Huy enjoys playing football, badminton and other games with the friends as well as supports his parents.
