No more 14-day quarantine for foreign experts entering Vietnam
But guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday require them to continue complying with all other requirements like wearing a mask and refraining from shaking hands to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

They also need to complete medical procedures including tests for Covid-19.
The organization that invites them needs to guarantee that it, or an international insurance company, will bear all medical and other expenses if they contract the disease in Vietnam.
Vietnam started charging people coming from overseas for quarantine from September 1. But those coming for diplomatic missions are exempted from the fee.
After 14 days since arrival if a person tests negative for the novel coronavirus, they can remain in Vietnam without quarantining.
Vietnam has recorded 1,044 Covid-19 cases and 34 deaths. Over 55,000 people are in quarantine.
The country has gone three days without a new community transmission as of September 1.
