Over 15,000 children aged 5 to below 12 in Bac Giang vaccinated against Covid-19

(BGO)- According to the provincial Department of Health, more than 6,600 children aged from 5 to below 12 have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as of April 26. To date, more than 15,000 children in the province have been provided one vaccine shot since the beginning of the vaccination campaign for children (April 19).

With the principles of careful pre-vaccination screening test, ensuring safety and quality, the medical centers of the districts and city have collaborated with the schools, students’ parents (or guardians) and local government to prepare the best conditions for the vaccination.

Vaccination should be carried out in early morning in cool weather and different time among classes and schools in the same locality to help medical practitioners and teachers closely supervise safe vaccination procedures and not to be overloaded.

In order for the best health condition of the children before getting vaccinated, Vice Director of the Department of Health warned students’ parents or relatives to provide sufficient information to the teachers and declare exactly children’s health status in the vaccination application form.

Children should eat before getting vaccinated and they should be under health supervision during 24 hours after vaccination. Those having abnormal symptoms like severe allergic reactions, high fever, sweating or rashes growing quickly in some hours should be immediately brought to the medical staff.
