Over 3.7 million orders made in 60 hours of online shopping

“60 hours of online shopping in Vietnam” brought huge incentives to Vietnamese consumers, with over 3.7 million orders made, up 267% compared to the average level in the year.

Held over 60 hours from 0:00 on December 4 to 12:00 on December 6, the “60 hours of online shopping in Vietnam” under the Online Friday 2020 event successfully concluded with the participation of millions of consumers.

The Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the number of successful orders increased by 267% compared to normal days. The most traded items were consumer goods, soft drinks and refrigerated goods.

As many as 11.2 million views were recorded on applications and mobile devices while more than 247,000 genuine products participated in the programme.

The Online Friday programme is the largest online shopping event in Vietnam launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the aim of bringing about benefits to both consumers and enterprises through online shopping platform.

The event has been held for seven consecutive years, affirming its significance for both enterprises and consumers.
