Photo of Mekong Delta grass harvest wins first prize at SkyPixel contest

An overhead shot of a person collecting bang grass in the Mekong Delta province of Long An has won the first prize in this year's SkyPixel photo contest.
The photo taken by Nguyen The Binh in December last year shows a farmer in a conical hat in My Hanh Bac Commune in Duc Hoa District.

Bang, which grows wildly in flooded fields in the delta, is used instead of plastic to produce straws.
This year's contest received 30,000 submissions from 124 countries and territories.
