Although Dung is 20 years old, she is as small as a secondary student. She can only grope along the wall within the house everyday. Her dreams and aspirations have been closed when she has two serious diseases.

Their family lives on the 4-million VND (172 USD) salary of Ban as a worker of a garment company and temporary wages of Trung as doing hired work. Their relatives are also poor; hence, they could not help to cure their daughter.

According to Duong Thuy Huong, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front of Hop Duc commune, Trung’s family is listed as nearly poor household who are living in a deteriorated house.

The communal people’s committee used 3 million VND (129 USD) to urgently support his family while guiding them to apply for social protection beneficiaries, supplement the list of poor households and request for free wheelchair at the district Red Cross Society.

Recently, the communal Fatherland Front and other unions have mobilized nearly 30 million VND (1,290 USD) to support Dung’s treatment in the hospital in Hanoi.
