Popularising Party building work - key task of local Party newspaper
BAC GIANG - Bac Giang Newspaper currently has daily, Saturday and monthly publications and an online version in Vietnamese, English and Chinese. Along with disseminating the province’s key tasks, in recent times, the newspaper has focused on innovating and improving the quality and effectiveness of popularising the work of building the Party and the political system.
It joins efforts of authorities at all levels, sectors and all people to successfully fulfill the province’s political and socio-economic development tasks.

With the spirit of creativity, innovation, daring to think and daring to do, Bac Giang Newspaper has synchronously deployed many solutions to enhance the popularisation of Party and political system building work.
Anticipating the development trend of journalism and the increasing demands of readers, the newspaper regularly innovates editorial management, promotes the application of information technology for gradual digital transformation, and builds a converged newsroom. With many solutions demonstrating long-term vision, the quality of content and format of its print and electronic publications are gradually improving.
Following the motto "economic development is the focus and Party building is the key" and the direction of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Bac Giang Newspaper has concentrated on directing the implementation of plans to improve the quality of popularising the province’s Party and political system building work in 2012 and the following years, identifying this as the top key task.
Previously, the task of disseminating Party building work was mainly undertaken by the newspaper’s Party Building - Internal Affairs Department and a small number of reporters, but now it is assigned to all specialised departments and all reporters.
The popularisation of Party and political system building has had many changes in both quantity and quality. On average each year, Bac Giang Newspaper produces more than 100 thematic pages and publishes more than 3,200 works on Party building work.
It has promptly disseminated the implementation of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; programmes, projects, directives, and conclusions of the Party Central Committee and the provincial Party Committee; while highlighting the innovation and creativity of Party committees at all levels in directing and organising the implementation of their tasks.
In particular, Bac Giang Newspaper has built a network of collaborators who are experts, journalists, and scientists working in academies, schools, and central press agencies who regularly write articles refuting wrong and hostile views in cyberspace, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
In addition, Bac Giang Newspaper conducted many information campaigns identifying difficulties, limitations and issues raised in Party building work. On that basis, Party committees and organisations at all levels can grasp them and take solutions.
Through information work, the newspaper has contributed, together with the Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front committees and organisations at all levels, to stabilising thoughts and strengthening the confidence of officials, Party members and people in the Party's leadership, thus striving to successfully fulfill socio-economic development tasks.
The innovation and the quality of content and format of Bac Giang Newspaper publications have been recognised by Party committees, authorities, and readers. Currently, the newspaper boasts 15,000 print copies per issue. Its electronic version is among the top local Party newspapers with the highest number of readers nationwide.
Recently, participating in press awards in the field of Party building launched by central-level departments, ministries and agencies, Bac Giang Newspaper has won many high prizes.

Notably, its "Retired Party members - Where is your will?” bagged the second prize and "Bac Giang industry – A journey from nothing to something" won the third prize at the National Press Awards for Party Building, known as the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards. In addition, the work “Keeping cyberspace clean - Bac Giang's creative way” also earned the first prize.
Amid the increasing demands for popularisation work, in the coming time, Bac Giang Newspaper will continue to build a contingent of professional and modern journalists to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
It will continue to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation, innovate editorial management, and synchronously implement content and technical solutions to further improve the quality of content and format of publications, contributing to guiding public thoughts and opinions, maintaining the information battlefield, and creating consensus among officials, Party members, and people for the successful accomplishment of the locality’s political tasks.
