The delegates surveyed at different places in the communes of Chau Minh, Xuan Cam and Huong Lam (Hiep Hoa district); Tien Son and Trung Son (Viet Yen district); Yen Lu (Yen Dung district); Bac Lung and Yen Son (Luc Nam district) and Nghia Hung (Lang Giang district).

They are large and unintermitting areas of 200 – 500 hectares that meet the transport factor with a favorable geological position for the initial investment. Thus, the local authority proposed to research these areas with the IP development orientation.

To date, Bac Giang province is home to 6 IPs with approved detail plans in about 1,300 hectares, including Dinh Tram IP, Quang Chau IP, Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP, Van Trung IP, Viet Han IP and Hoa Phu IP.

Because more and more foreign investors have come to seek for business opportunities, pushing the IPs’ land leasing demand to a high rise that cannot be satisfied by the available land fund.

As scheduled, the current IPs will be fully occupied by 2020; thus it is necessary to survey and supplement few more IPs.

After the actual inspection at some positions, Chairman Nguyen Van Linh affirmed the need for IP planning supplement to meet the highly increasing demand of investment in the local areas.

Because IP planning plays a crucial role in the provincial socio-economic development, it should be carefully researched. The proposed areas must have the favorable geological locations for the initial investment and future expansion as well as the smooth condition for synchronous investment with the concentrated wastewater treatment station, worker dormitories and IPs’ service area.

Besides, Chairman Linh assigned the IPs’Management Board to coordinate with the localities to continue researching, reviewing and zoning the areas for IP development orientation.
