The constituents took this occasion to ask the provincial People’s Council of all levels, authorized agencies and localities to handle a number of issues, including environmental pollution in the residential areas; obstacles relating to the house construction project for the families who are living in the old tenement of Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant (in Tran Nguyen Han ward); shortcomings in the procedure of merging hamlets and residential groups; planning of entertainment areas and family car keeping places among others.
Especially, voters from Tran Nguyen Han ward reflected that the input water to water production plant is sourced from Thuong river which receives the post-treated wastewater of Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer & Chemical Joint Stock Company (Hanichemco) and living wastewater from the households. Thus, the competent sectors were requested to inspect and supervise the water quality so as to ensure the residential’ health condition.
The representative of municipal leader accepted the proposals then analyzed and clarified several issues relating to the voters’ concerns.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Bui Van Hai spoke highly of straightforward and responsible ideas of Bac Giang city’s voters, affirming that the provincial and municipal investment attractions have created positive changes in socio-economic development. Also, the living condition of the majority of people has been dramatically improved, the poor households are gradually reduced and more youngsters are employed.
Additionally, he instructed the Bac Giang municipal authority to continue paying attention to effective waste collection and disposal while putting the regulations on environmental protection into the village or ward conventions.
Particularly, he urged the relevant agencies to accelerate the investment and construction progress of waste treatment plant so as to ensure the environmental sanitation and people’s health. Besides, it is necessary to focus on reviewing and suitably planning the cemetery area to meet the local rising demand.

Secretary Hai expected for the people’s deep understanding and high consensus on the policy of removing the old tenement of Hanichemco to build other spacious apartments for them in a new location.
