Pyrotechnists from England and China ready to light up Da Nang sky
According to Mark Kelsall from the Pyrotex Fireworx team of England, as this year’s festival focuses on the theme of ‘Stories by the Rivers’, their performances will praise famous rivers of the world, including the River Themes in England.

Particularly, their performance will be delivered under the beautiful melodies of popular songs about rivers, such as ‘River flows in you’, ‘Cry me a river’, and ‘The River’.
Established in 1999, Pyrotex Fireworx is one of the UK's most renowned display companies and has won many prizes whilst attending firework competitions around Europe. Previously, the team ranked third at the 2017 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
Pyrotex Fireworx will compete against Hunan Jingtai Fireworks, a team from China, which is headed by Wang Qiuhai.
Wang revealed that his team will wow spectators with an eight-chapter performance on eight themes of wind and cloud, dragon, phoenix, rain, jasmine, Huang He river, joy, and happiness.
Since it was founded in 1994, Hunan Jingtai Fireworks Ltd. has bagged a number of prizes at international competitions held in China as well as abroad.
The month-long 2019 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, the 10th edition since 2008, features eight teams from Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, England, China, Italy and Vietnam.
The top two teams will be selected for the final performance on July 6.
