Quang Binh offers free wifi at Phong Nha-Ke Bang

Visitors to Phong Nha-Ke Bang, the area in the central province of Quang Binh that includes the world’s biggest cave Son Doong, will be able to get online with a new free public wifi network.

Oxalis Adventure, the sole caving tour operator to Son Doong cave, sponsored the cost of installation and operation of the network.
The department and the sponsor hope that visitors to Phong Nha-Ke Bang will have easier online connections during their stay in the area as well as promoting local tourism services online.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang is a national park with rich biodiversity located in Quang Binh. It is a UNESCO’s world heritage site. The park is also home to many famous karst caves including Son Doong, Tu Lan, Hang En, Thien Duong and Phong Nha.
The central province of Quang Binh on October 24 introduced its new tourism product of exploring Vom and Gieng Vooc caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Archaeologists have discovered cultural traces of prehistoric people in limestone caves in Chiem Hoa district of the northern province of Tuyen Quang, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Nang Chung of the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology on September 24.
Vietnamese archeologists have found human remains in a volcanic cave for the first time anywhere in the world.
