Samsung hands over filterred water system to Bac Giang’s schools

(BGO) – The Vietnam Samsung Electronics Company Limited on February 7 coordinated with Department of Education and Training and Korean Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) in Bac Giang province to hold a ceremony at Le Hong Phong primary school, handing over the project of toilets and filtered water systems to several schools in the local area.

The Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lai Thanh Son visits the filtered water system in Le Hong Phong primary school (Bac Giang city).

The event was attended by Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lai Thanh Son and leaders of some Departments and Korean firms.

26 projects of toilets and filtered water systems were approved by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in November 2017 to build at 26 primary and secondary schools in 8 districts and city with the total expense of 6 billion VND (264,500 USD) sponsored by the Vietnam Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. To date, these projects have been completed and availed 13,000 students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Lai Thanh Son expressed his sincere thank to Vietnam Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, KFHI and Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations for their special attention to the locality so that the teachers and student can enjoy a better studying environment.

He hoped that the Korean Ambassador in Vietnam, enterprises and organizations would continue supporting the province; investing and introducing more investors to the region.

The leader of Vietnam Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd also took the occasion to present gifts to some outstanding students at Le Hong Phong primary school.
