After actual inspection, Secretary Bui Van Hai specified that Luc Ngan district should have plan to stabilise the lychee cultivation area and consider lychee as key plant.
The local authority was urged to focus on communication so that the farmers gradually expand the areas to grow lychee under VietGAP and GlobalGAP procedures to meet the export requirement.
Particularly, this crop, the district should best exploit both domestic and export markets to boost up the product consumption; ensure the public order and security to facilitate the tradesmen or organizations in and outside the country to visit the localities for processing and consuming the lychees.

Early ripen lychee enjoys high price and good consumption
(BGO) – It has come to the harvest season
for the early ripen lychee in the key cultivation areas in the districts of Tan
Yen, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Lang Giang…in the northern province of Bac Giang for
nearly one week. The fruits enjoy good consumption and high selling price,
particularly VietGAP lychee are sold at minimum prize of 35,000 VND (1.5 USD)
per kilogram.
VietGAP lychee in Tan Yen enjoys good price
(BGO) – Recently, farmers in Phuc Hoa commune in Tan Yen
district, Bac Giang province has harvested the early ripen lychees. As of May
19, the selling price fluctuated from 23 – 37,000 VND (1-1.58 USD) per kilogram
(doubling the last year price), especially VietGAP lychee was sold at 35 – 37,000
VND per kilogram.
