Tan Yen connects cooperatives, creates momentum for farm produce consumption
It is nearly one month to come the harvest season of early ripening lychee in Phuc Hoa commune. Apart from consuming about 300 tonnes of lychee for members, the cooperatives plan to buy about 1,000 tonnes more.

Nguyen Van Thiet, Director of Phuc Hoa early ripening lychee production and consumption cooperative has tighten the supervision of lychee area for export; expanded warehouse at more convenient position; prepared materials, packages and labels with the trademark of Phuc Hoa early ripening lychee.
Hop Duc star apple fruit is a famous four star One Commune One Product (OCOP) in the district. According to Nguyen Van Cuong, Director of Hop Duc star apple fruit production and consumption cooperative, Cua Song land is ideally suited to this fruit which gives high economic value.
Tan Yen boasts for many signatures farm produces, typically Phuc Hoa early ripening lychee, Hop Duc star apple fruits, Tan Yen pearl guava, Danh mountain Sam Nam, honey among others.
The cooperatives have sufficient legal capacity to gather land, labour; manage the production to create enough commodity meeting food safety and hygiene standard while acting as a bridge between enterprises and farmers.

Thus, to enhance the farm produce value, Tan Yen district encourages localities to establish production cooperatives in associated with product consumption. Local farmers are recommended to link to the cooperatives toward huge scale production, centralized raw material area, high technology application.
The product quality and appearance are improved to meet standard and regulation of food safety, requirement from business and customers’demand.
Now, Tan Yen district has 61 agricultural cooperatives, most of which link production and consumption of farm produce.
