The local big sized product is suitable for long-term preservation. Apart from being sold in the provincial market, it is consumed by many tradesmen in the provinces of Bac Ninh, Ha Noi and Hai Phong mostly to process the fresh into the dried product.

The district competent authorities have instructed the farmers to establish the cooperatives to produce and sell the red scallion as well as to form the exemplary field so as to increase the product value and expand the markets.

The necessary formalities are being carried out by the district People’s Committee to register the collective brand of “Lien Chung red scallion”; thus helping encourage the farmers ‘production and create the consumers’ stable belief on the product origin and quality.
