Than Nong temple festival opens in Luc Nam
The event was attended by Bui Van Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee (PPC), Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Ha Cong Tuan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of the province, departments, sectors and many visitors.

After over one year of construction, the major items of Than Nong temple were completed with a total investment of nearly 30 billion VND (about 1.3 million USD), including Trinh temple to worship Than Nong and Mother Goddess temple.
The project was constructed by Tuan Quynh Trade Service and Construction Joint Stock Company from the socialization sources. The temple’s completion and operation become the cultural and spiritual tourism site to links the provincial travel tours and routes in the West of Yen Tu.

Also, the representatives cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Than Nong temple then together with the locals and tourists visited 12 booths showcasing the local farm produce as well as joined the opening ceremony of the community art festival in Cam Ly commune.
The district provided each locality with 15 million VND (646 USD) for showcasing and narrating the farm products as well as guiding the visitors. Several staples and signature products were presented at the event including Bao Son pineapple, Kham Lang sweet potato

At the same day, the district authority launched the “Tree planting festival: Forever grateful to Uncle Ho”, lasting to the end of March 2019. After the launching ceremony, PPC Secretary, Deputy Minister, leaders of the province and district as well as the locals joined hand to plant 110 Ficus religiosa and frangipani trees at Than Nong temple.
This year, the district targets to develop 1,000 hectares of forest and 75,000 scattered trees by effective and practical method while urging the competent agencies and people in the district localities to improve the awareness of forest protection and fire prevention.
