Thang Long Imperial Citadel recreates traditional Tet activities
The five-day event was officially opened by the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) and the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center Hanoi on January 24.
Happy Tet 2024 represents a unique blend of ancient court Tet traditions with contemporary Tet culture, creating a space that radiates tradition, spirituality, and vibrancy.

The event will be held in an area spanning 3,000-3,500 square meters, meticulously and creatively designed and decorated. Its purpose is to showcase Vietnam's traditional Tet festival, tourist destinations, cultural values, and heritages from various regions across the country.
Visitors to the event will be able to experience cultural values, activities, and heritages of famous destinations from across the country through six landscapes: "The Train Going Home", "A Traditional Hanoi Family", "Tet in the Central Coastal Region", "Tet in the South", "Tet among Ethnic Peoples", and "A Culinary Promotion Area".
In addition, Hanoi authorities will reserve a section to promote the city's most attractive destinations, such as Long Bien Bridge, Dong Xuan Market, Me Linh Flower Market, West Lake, and the bustling and crowded Old Quarter.
In the culinary area, visitors will have the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes prepared by artisans from across the country.
Other activities during the event include a photo exhibition, art performances, folk games, and other cultural experiences.
Hanoi expects that the Happy Tet 2024 programme will promote the city as an attractive destination for overseas Vietnamese and international tourists during the holiday period, connect local businesses with their overseas counterparts, and provide consumers with high-quality products and services.
