Since early childhood, Van Khanh has loved to tell stories, dance and sing. She usually participates in extracurricular activities and art performance at school and playground for children. Particularly, she is impassioned with the fairy tales, picture stories which she can remember every detail. Besides, Khanh can play piano and zither.

Joining the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in Bac Giang province in 2021 with the encouragement from teachers and family, she created 10 minute video. Khanh got mother’s support in term of idea, content, structure and performance then asked people to record and make the video. The work was completed within one week and submitted to the contest at the end of June 2021.

The first part of the video was inspired by the famous novel titled “Hearts” written by Italian writer Edmondo De Amicis. Van Khanh guided and opened up passion for book reading for youngsters. Each story in the novel introduces a lesson about the emotion of teacher, students, friends, father and kid as well as compassion and patriotism.

The second part of the video talked about the effect of reading book to stimulate every body to keep this good habit by a clear expression, confident representation and meaningful message. The viewers will feel and understand that people need to have knowledge to gain success. And reading book is one of the approaching method.

Good book helps inspire us to live positively day by day, or even overcome obstacles and difficulties in life.

Besides the love for reading book, Van Khanh has special passion for music, culture and art.

Van Khanh said she plans to donate old books and newspapers together with her friends to create a passionate bookcase to present to impoverished children in mountainous areas and establish a group to connect friends with love for books.

Fews day ago, Van Khanh’s video and other prized entries were selected by the Organization Board to the final round of National Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in 2021 to be held at this year end.
