Other tourist sites such as Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex (Son Dong district), Suoi Mo eco-tourism site (Luc Nam district), Ven village community-based tourist site in Xuan Luong commune (Yen The district), Rose Garden Film Studio (Bac Giang city) and Cam Son Lake (Luc Ngan district) are bustling again.

According to a guideline of the provincial People’s Committee on adjustment to the preventive measures against Covid-19, those coming or returning Bac Giang from other localities which are classified as green zone (level 1), yellow zone (level 2) and orange zone (level 3) are not required to show test results for SARS-CoV-2 or take SARS-CoV-2 tests when entering the province (except for cases with fever, cough, difficulty breathing, lost of smell, headache) but they must strictly implement the Ministry of Health’s 5K message.

Yen Dung golf course welcomes a large number of tourist groups this time.

In recent 3 weeks, the number of tourists to the Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex is increasing especially at weekend. According to Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Director of Tay Yen Tu Service Joint Stock Company, this tourist site has been resumed operation since September 30 after more than 5 months of suspension. It welcomed about 1,000 visitors in the first week.

Besides, the special national relics like Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site (Bac Giang city), Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district) and Bo Da pagoda (Viet Yen district) lure several visitors for sightseeing and worshipping. This time, Bac Giang province is a safe destination and good choice for many tourists to organize day tours.

Efforts to overcome difficulties

The province is home to nearly 500 travel accommodation businesses and services including 25 hotels rated from 1 to 4 stars, 420 motels and 9 provincial tourism areas and destinations. After a long time frozen by Covid-19 pandemic, tourism sector has suffered enormous loss and damage especially accommodation and service businesses.

Although the tourism has not seen bustling activity as before, the larger number of visitors to the tourism sites, golf courses, hotels and restaurants is a good sign for tourism sector in the final months of 2021.

Currently, travel agents are focusing on promoting the safe destinations and ready to shake hands with partners in tour booking. They will release big promotion programmes to lure tourists when the Covid-19 pandemic is in good control in the provinces and cities.

In line with tourism stimulus, the Government’s support policies for those impacted by Covid-19 in tourism sector have been implemented. So far, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) has collaborated to review and provide information of accommodation businesses for the Bac Giang Electricity Company to reduce electricity price. The Department made the list of more than 450 cases entitled to electricity price reduction for the 2nd time in 2021. Besides, DOCST continues making statistics of tourist guides affected by Covid-19 pandemic and guided them to prepare documents for receiving support.

According to Tran Minh Ha, DOCST Director, the Department will cooperate with Vietnam Tourism Association, Hanoi Travel Association and some provinces and cities to recover tourism activity with surveys and programmes to promote the tourist destinations, seminars and linkages for inter-locality tourism development. In addition, they will advise the provincial People’s Committee to launch the provincial tourism programme while implementing the Government’s support packages for tourism activity in the province.
