Two Bac Giang students prized at Reading Culture Ambassador Contest

(BGO) – The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism on December 1 held a ceremony at Hanoi Opera House to award Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2022. Two students in Bac Giang province are prized for their prominent entries.

Nguyen Hoang Mai in class 10A1 (now class 11A1) of Yen Dung No.3 High School (Yen Dung district) was awarded third prize for her video introducing Bao Ninh’s novel “Noi buon chien tranh or The sorrow of war” while Nguyen Ngoc Diep Linh in class 2A3 (now class 3A3) of Le Loi Primary School (Bac Giang city) won Consolation prize for her video introducing the book “Di voi to minh cung lam tho or Go with me to create poem together” of Dan Tri Publishing House.

Hoang Mai showed her feelings about the male character named Kien in the novel, especially in fierce battles which taught her to live positively; overcome difficulties, challenges; respect what she has and pay tribute to national contributors.

Meanwhile, the book that Diep Linh introduced instructed young kids the way to make poem and inspired the love for poem.

The preliminary round was jointly launched by the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Department of Education and Training with nearly 67,000 submitted entries from 228 schools.

The Organization Board handed over certificate to 20 prized individuals and Dinh Ke Primary School (Bac Giang city) for biggest number of participants (1,943 entries).
