Viet Nam National Brand Week opens at EXPO 2025

Updated: 15:31, 27/05/2025

According to information from the Department of International Cooperation under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening ceremony of Viet Nam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai (Japan) took place at the Viet Nam Exhibition House on May 26.

Viet Nam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 is organised by the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units.

Delegates perform the opening ceremony of the Week.

This is the first time an official promotion week for the Viet Nam National Brand Programme has been organised at a World Expo.

Speaking at the event, Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Viet Nam in Osaka, said that the organisation of the Viet Nam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 and Osaka City is of great significance when placed in the context of the increasingly deep development of the Viet Nam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

This is also a milestone marking more than 20 years of implementing the Viet Nam National Brand Programme — a national trade promotion programme that has been implemented systematically and effectively.

According to Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, the Viet Nam National Brand Week brings a space to experience Vietnamese brands right in the heart of EXPO 2025, introducing to Japanese and international visitors some typical products and outstanding achievements of the Viet Nam National Brand Programme, and is also an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to expand trade connections and seek investment cooperation opportunities and sustainable development. M

Maehara Makoto, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Kinki Regional Industrial Economics Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, said that more than 2,000 Japanese enterprises, including many from the Kansai region, have invested and operated in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam is currently an extremely important partner for enterprises in the Kansai region, as well as Japan in general, he added.

Nearly 40 Vietnamese enterprises have products displayed or participated in exchanges and connections within the framework of the Viet Nam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 with diverse industries such as garment, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, food, industrial equipment, mechanics, technology, etc.
