Vietnam reported 8,129 new domestic cases of Covid-19 in 55 cities and provinces on Tuesday, up 175 against Monday.
Ho Chi Minh City continued to register the highest daily infections, 1,276, followed by its two neighboring provinces of Dong Nai, with 923 cases, and Binh Duong with 619.

A further 88 Covid casualties were reported, including 38 in HCMC and 11 in Binh Duong, raising the national Covid-19 death toll to 22,686, accounting for 2.4 percent of the total cases.
With the additional patients confirmed Tuesday, Vietnam's tally of the fourth wave that hit the nation in late April has climbed to 979,840. Of them, 839,983 have recovered and 22,851 have lost their lives.
Of more than 118,000 patients under treatment, 3,350 are severe cases.
So far, 30.3 million of the country's 96-million population have been fully vaccinated with two doses.
Bac Giang concentrates on Covid-19 fights in IPs to secure production and supply chains

Covid-19: 7,504 new cases added to national tally
Vietnam recorded 7,504 new coronavirus infections, including 17 imported cases, in 60 cities and provinces across the country on November 5, an increase of 911 cases compared to the previous day.
