The Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE), in coordination with the Korea Environmental Industry Association (KEIA) of the Republic of Korea, held a forum on Vietnam-RoK environmental cooperation in Hanoi on October 24.

At the event, in the framework of the Exhibition and Seminar for Environmental Technology & Equipment (ENVIROTEX 2019), VACNE Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Sinh said the forum aims to provide a chance for Vietnamese and RoK businesses to share opportunities for cooperating in environmental projects at a time when both Vietnam and the RoK are working towards the green and circular economy.

According to Sinh, the outcomes of the forum will serve as the basis for the KEIA to submit reports and projects to the RoK Government on promoting the partnership between the two countries’ environmental companies.

The event featured two discussions on Vietnam’s needs for environmental projects and the RoK’s environmental technologies.

On the sidelines of the forum, two cooperation MoUs were signed between VACNE and KEIA, and between Vietnam’s Environmental Incident Response Centre (SOS Environment) and the RoK’s Techno-bio company. The sides will work to promote the use of environmentally-friendly equipment and technologies in both Vietnam and the RoK.
