More than 102,000 Vietnamese workers went to work overseas in the first nine months of this year, including nearly 37,000 female workers, reaching 92.64% of the yearly set target.

According to statistics from the Department of Overseas Labour (DoLAB) under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, roughly 16,080 employees (5,626 female) departed to work overseas in September alone.

Japan, Chinese Taipei and the Republic of Korea (RoK) are among the top largest host markets for Vietnamese overseas workers.
With regard to the Korean market, a report from the Vietnam Labour Management Board in the RoK read that by the end of June, the number of Vietnamese laborers working in the RoK under its Employment Permit System for Hiring Foreign Workers (EPS) counted 38,331.
Under its set quota for receiving foreign laborers in 2018, the RoK is expected to host 3,500 Vietnamese laborers to work in its manufacturing sector, not including agriculture and fisheries.
Vietnam sets to send 110,000 workers to work overseas this year.
Labors benefit from enterprises’ due attention to cultural and spiritual life
(BGO) – Apart from many activities
launched by the trade unions, several enterprises operating at the Industrial
Parks (IP) in the northern province of Bac Giang has paid due attention to
building the cultural system, organizing art performances and sports events to
improve the cultural and spiritual life for the workers after finishing their
shifts.
14 individuals awarded Certificate of Creative Labor
(BGO) –
The Vietnam Labor Federation (VLF) has issued the Decision awarding the Certificate
of Creative Labor to 14 outstanding individuals in the northern province of Bac
Giang who are the inventors winning high prizes at the local Technology
Invention Contest for the period of 2016 – 2017.
