Vietnam Startup Day to gather startups from 12 countries

The Vietnam Startup Day 2019 is scheduled to kick off in Ho Chi Minh City on August 23, gathering startup communities from around the world.
Nearly 200 startups from 12 countries will participate in the event, displaying impressive technologies with high applicability at HiTech Showcase, introducing creative and unique startup models at Startup Exhibition, and raising funding from investors at Live Pitch.

Intense competitions among them will also form part of the Vietnam Startup Day 2019.
The event aims to connect startup talents, inventors and researchers from across Vietnam and other countries.
It is organised by the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Business Startup Support Centre of the HCM City Department of Science and Technology, and the HCM City Young Business Association.

Vietnam Climate Innovation Centre (under the Ministry of Science and Technology)
to organise a ceremony in Hanoi to honour the creative ideas at the creative startup
contest themed "Women and the
future of green economy".
Two aspiring startups, Ecom Easy Asia and Ninjaman, won the KVision x VIISA Hackathon 2019 held June 28-30 in HCMC.
The Vietnam Women's Union collaborated with the Vietnam Climate Innovation Centre (VCIC) to organise a ceremony in Hanoi, on June 24, to honour 51 creative ideas at the third Proof-of Concept (PoC) competition under the theme "Women and the future of green economy".
The Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) has been appointed by the government of Malaysia as the only representative of Vietnam to join the ASEAN startup programme.
The BedLinker.com project – an online platform for tourism-hotel service transactions, has surpassed nine outstanding projects nationwide to win an innovative tourism startup competition at its final round in Hanoi on June 18.
