Vietnamese cyclist wins Tour of Zhoushan Island I

Nguyen Thi That of Vietnam won the first stage Tour of Zhoushan Island I in China on May 21.
The Asian champion sprinted away in the last 20 minutes to finish the 85km course first with a time of 2hr 50min ahead of Arianna Fidanza and Lisa Morzenti, both from Italy.

Vietnam also topped the team podium. They were followed by High Ambition 2020 of Japan and Team Illuminate from Malaysia.
Cyclists continue with the Tour of Zhoushan Island II with two stages on May 22 and 23.
David Van Eerd of the Netherlands’ Global Cycling Team won the overall yellow jersey of the VTV International Cycling Tournament – Ton Hoa Sen Cup which concluded in Ho Chi Minh City on September 16.
More than 110 cyclists from nine cities and provinces nationwide participated in a mountain bike race exploring Lung Po, where the Red River flows into Vietnam, on August 25, running across 38 kilometers of slopes along the Red River upstream in Bat Xat district in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.

Nguyen Thi That of Vietnam grabbed a yellow jersey in a cycling tournament in Switzerland on March 25.
