Vietnamese specialty fruits introduced at famous Italian fruit fair

Vietnamese specialty fruits are on display at the 38th Macfrut Fruit Fair (Macfrut Fair 2021) which officially opened in Rimini city in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy on September 7.

This is the first major fruit and vegetable fair to be held in Europe after a nearly two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In particular, the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy in collaboration with the authorities of Son La and Ben Tre provinces have brought for the first time special fruit products from Vietnam to the event.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Thi Bich Hue emphasised that the participation in the Macfrut Fair 2021 in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic shows the desire and efforts of the Embassy as well as Vietnamese localities and businesses in terms of increasing the introduction of Vietnamese fruit products to the world market.

In addition, through virtual booths, the Fair is also a bridge to help the domestic business community access and connect with partners who possess advanced technology in fruit production, processing and preservation from Italy and other European countries.

Taking place from September 7-9, the Macfrut Fair 2021 has brought together about 800 booths from 500 fruit importers from around the world.
