On the evening of May 17, the Ministry of Education and Training updated information regarding the achievements of the Vietnamese student delegation at the 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF 2025).

At the competition, the Vietnamese team earned one more Special Award – an award given by sponsors, including companies, corporations, and international research centres, for projects with high application potential.

The fifth Special Award was presented to the project “Research on engineering a strain of Vibrio natriegens capable of synthesising β–Nicotinamide Mononucleotide via metabolic engineering techniques” by Tran Vu Thao Phuong and Pham Huy Tuan Dat (High School for Educational Sciences, University of Education – Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi).

Accordingly, the Vietnamese delegation, participating with 9 projects across 6 fields, achieved impressive results with 2 Second Prizes, 1 Third Prize, 3 Fourth Prizes, and 5 Special Awards from sponsors.
