Vietnamese students win silver medal at first international AI olympiad
Vietnamese students brought home one silver medal and one bronze at the first International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2024 in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Accordingly, in the science category, the Vietnam 2 team from the High School for the Gifted of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City secured the silver medal, while the Vietnam 1 team from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted bagged the bronze one.

With these results, Vietnam ranked 6th in the medal tally, after Russia, Poland, Singapore, China, and Hungary.
Taking place from Aug. 9 – 15, the first event of this kind attracted around 40 teams from more than 30 countries and territories worldwide.
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of July 31, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a reception for a delegation of students participating in the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad in 2024 returning from Saudi Arabia. All the four Vietnamese students won medals, with three gold and one silver. Vietnam ranked second out of the 89 participating countries and territories.
BAC GIANG - On May 16, Tran Duy Phuong, Principal of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, informed that two 12th graders of the school have just won scholarships from prestigious universities in the US. They are Ta Thuy Trang (born 2006) in Mathematics class and Pham Tuan Cuong (born 2006) in Chemistry class.

BAC GIANG - On April 5, the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) announced the results of the exam to select the national team to compete in the 2024 regional and international Olympiads taking place from March 26-28.
BAC GIANG- After 3 days, the national science and technology competition for high school students in the academic year 2023-2024 co-oganised by the Ministry of Education and Training, the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province, the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Technical Innovation Support Fund was concluded on March 22 at the provincial Convention Center.
