It aims to honour the largest companies in Vietnam, which achieved remarkable successes in production and business activities. This is the 14th consecutive year the VNR500 ranking has been announced.

On the list are Samsung Electronics Thai Nguyen Co Ltd, Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel), and Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex).

Major firms such as Vingroup, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and Mobile World Investment Corporation are also included in the list.

Among those, firms operating in services and industry account for a lion’s share of 97.3% of revenue in 2019, while businesses in the agriculture sector make up only 2.7% of revenue.

Return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) of VNR500 companies were 5.73% and 16.24%, remarkably up from 2.78% and 13.8% against the previous year.

In addition, return on sales (ROS) inched by 0.26% to hit 6.58% this year.

On this occasion, Vietnam Report published the 500 largest private enterprises of Vietnam 2020.

An awards ceremony is set to take place in Hanoi on January 8 next year.

12 enterprises and individuals honored for good implementation of taxation obligation

(BGO) - After reviewing and verifying the proposal from the Taxation Department in Bac Giang province,  the General Department of  Taxation has recently decided to grant Certificate of Merit to 12 enterprises and individuals for their good implementation of taxation obligation in 2019.

Commercial banks in Bac Giang pledge to fuel enterprises to overcome difficulties caused by Covid-19

(BGO)- In implementation of the direction by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the State Bank in Bac Giang province, the provincial Business Association and Young Entrepreneurs Association jointly held a conference on 15 September to seek solutions for surmounting difficulties in loans and payment of enterprises and cooperatives affected by Covid-19. 

Two garment enterprises in Bac Giang recognized “Prestige export company”

(BGO) – The Minister of Industry and Trade has approved and announced the list of 268 “Prestige export companies” in 2019, two of which are from Bac Giang province, namely Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company (Lang Giang district) and Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company (Hiep Hoa district).

Newly established enterprises in Bac Giang province increases nearly 52 percent

(BGO) – According to the Department of Planning and Investment, in spite of the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, Bac Giang province had 164 newly established businesses in August 2020, up 51.9 percent comparing to the same period last year as the peak figure since early this year.
