Vingroup to present 2,400 ventilators to Russia and Ukraine

Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup will present 2,400 “made in Vietnam” invasive ventilators for Covid-19 treatment to Russia and Ukraine.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam and the Embassy of Ukraine in Vietnam signed a memorandum of agreement on the reception of 2,400 invasive ventilators on May 6.

The ventilators will be handed over to the two countries between May 15 and August 30.

The two given models VFS-410 and VFS-510 have been completed and domestically produced by the Vingroupecosystem with a localisation rate of 70%.

Vingroup will present 1,500 ventilators to Russia and 900 ventilators to Ukraine.

Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup Nguyen Viet Quangsaid that these two ventilator models not only meet the immediate need for Covid-19 treatment, but can also be used in emergency resuscitation departments (ICU), bringing about both long-term value and effectiveness.

The gifts aim to express the gratitude of Vingroup to the two countries where the group originated and also places which many generations of Vietnamese people feel a strong attachment to, Quang noted.
