Winners of contest about Communist Party of Vietnam, Uncle Ho honoured

(BGO) - On the afternoon of May 17, the Standing Board of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to review and award winners of a contest to study the “Glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; Great Uncle Ho; and the country in the renewal  process". This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh on May 19 (1890-2020).

Beautifying the traditions of the Party, homeland and country

In the joyful atmosphere to welcome the nation’s major celebrations, the Standing Board of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee launched a contest to study the “Glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; Great Uncle Ho; and the country in the renewal process". Shortly thereafter, the Party committees at all levels, agencies and units actively responded to the contest. Many Party organisations had creative ways.

After 5 months, the Organizing Committee at all levels received 92,390 entries from authors and groups of authors. Especially, the contest received six good-quality articles of authors from other provinces such as Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Dien Bien, Binh Dinh and Ninh Thuan. These articles showed the authors’ dedication with plentiful illustrations and fine layouts.

Speaking at the award ceremony, on behalf of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Le Thi Thu Hong, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts of 15 district and city Party Committees Party Committees and their directly-run units in directing the response to the contest. 

She praised the enthusiasm, warm response and participation of officials, Party members and people in the province as well as those from some other provinces, and 30 authors and groups of authors winning high prizes.

At the ceremony, the provincial leaders awarded 30 prizes (including one first prize; four second prizes; 10 third prizes; 15 consolation prizes) to individuals with the best works. Of those, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Ngat (from the Party Organisation of the provincial Public Security Department) won the first prize.

Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thu Hong presents the Certificate of Merit of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee to three Party organisations with outstanding achievements in organizing and directing the contest.

Three Party organisations rewarded by the provincial Party Committee are the Party Organisations of Bac Giang city, Yen The district and the provincial Public Security Department. In addition, the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee sent letters of commendation to some authors who had quality entries named in the provincial-level final round.

Fragrant flowers offered to Uncle Ho

The writings were devotedly collected, compiled and researced by the authors, expressing the sentiments and responsibilities of officials, Party members and people for the Party, beloved Uncle Ho and the hometown of Bac Giang, which is on the path of renovation and development.

Among the submissions are handwritten notes of Pham Ngoc Xuong (88 years old), who has over 65 years of Party membership, in Xuong Lam commune (Lang Giang district), former Secretary of Yen The district Party Committee.

Some entries include articles published on Bac Giang Newspaper. Most of the entries to the final round are like research works, and some have unique illustration models.

The provincial leaders award certificates to second prize winners.

Whether handwritten or typed, short or long, winning or not, more than 90,000 entries show the authors’ sense of responsibility for the Party and their homeland as well as their love and respect for Uncle Ho.

Through the contest, the authors and their entries are like beautiful flowers in the flower garden full of fragrance to be offered to the Party and Uncle Ho.
