Yoga festival encourages people to practice

The Winter Yoga Festival kicked off in Hanoi on December 22 with the aim of encouraging people to practice even when it’s cold.

The event, organised by the Vietnam Yoga Federation and Huong Anh Yoga Centre, attracted the participation of 1,000 yogis to perform together at the Hoang Mai District Stadium.

With the theme Yoga and Public Health, the event included master classes and a talk with foreign masters such as Asian Yoga icon Sri Srinivas Suresh Kamal.

“It’s a good chance for me to inspire Vietnamese people in practising yoga,” said Kamal. “When I came to Vietnam, I realised that Vietnamese people love yoga and the number of practitioners is increasing rapidly. Yoga is not only a sport or fitness, it’s the way you enjoy a healthy lifestyle.”

It’s a good way to eliminate pressure and negative emotions, he added.

Spreading green lifestyle
(BGO) – In response to the plastic waste prevention campaign launched by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Bac Giang province (Youth Union), several units and local youths have taken the first steps to restrict the usage of single use plastic. The small action partly helps create the green lifestyle to actively protect the environment.

Many youths in the northern province of Bac Giang have actively joined hand in the challenge to clean up the environment and spread the green lifestyle in the community. 
Strengthening moral and lifestyle education for younger generation
(BGO) - Over the past time, the education about revolutionary ideals, ethics and cultural lifestyle for younger generation always concerned by all-level of the Bac Giang Province’s Youth Union and Young Pioneer Organisation. Through the implementation of this activity, various effective and creative methods of education have appeared.
Film on Sai Gon’s lifestyle wins Golden Kite award
Sai Gon Anh Yeu Em (Sai Gon, I Love You), a film by Ly Minh Thang, was voted the best feature film by the Vietnam Cinematography Association. The award was presented on April 9 at HCM City’s Military Theatre. 
Vietnam’s Ao Dai to be highlighted at Hue Festival 2020
A programme honouring Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) will be held under the framework of the Hue Festival 2020 with an aim to promote people’s participation in community arts performances and programmes.
