With the role of Youth Union’s Secretary, Thang has consulted the Administration Board and the Youth Union’s Executive Board at the school to organize several volunteer activities, educate the revolutionary ideology and living skill to the youth members and students.

Duong Van Thang is Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Cam Ly High School (Luc Nam district).

At “Red Flamboyant Flower” campaign and “Assistance in Exams Season” programme in 2019, the school Youth Union effectively organized the volunteer teams, joined communication about traffic safety; launched club to educate the drown prevention skill and children abuse as well as taught English for local students.

Particularly, the school Youth Union launched “Two good deed” movement to all members of the youth union with many new features.

Ly Tu Trong Prize is the noble award of the HCMCYU Central Committee presented to outstanding youth union officials and members in working, studying, youth union work and youth movement. Apart from the general criteria, the awardee must have excellent and typical achievements as the exemplary model in the community.

Due to the Covid-19 complicated development, the Secretary Board of the HCMCYU Central Committee decided not to organize the 2020 awarding ceremony to ensure the health safety for the people and control the widespread of the disease.

The HCMCYU Central Committee authorized the Youth Union in the provinces and cities to present the award to the awardee at the working organization.
