376 persons in Mia market relating to two Covid-19 infections test negative to Covid-19

(BGO) - According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Bac Giang province, 376 cases relating to twp Covid-19 victims (F0) who are drivers from Thai Binh province to Mia market in Tan My commune, Bac Giang city have the first negative results for SARS-CoV-2.

Right after these two Covid-19 infections were reported, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control of Bac Giang city quickly directed lockdown measure in Mia market and adjacent areas. 10 close contacts (F1 cases) and 366 residents in the lockdown area were taken specimens immediately for Covid-19 test in the evening of August 15.

Mia market is locked down to fight against the pandemic.

Now, F1 cases have been put into centralized quarantine. The households in the lockdown area are required to strictly obey home isolation, not to go out or contact with neighbors.

According to the report, there are 1,044 long-haul drivers in Bac Giang province in which Luc Ngan district takes the largest number with 237 drivers. Most of the long-haul drivers are under close health supervision, who are regularly tested to pass through the inter-provincial checkpoints for transportation of goods and the pandemic prevention and control.
