It is set to be paid to a person working for a foreign company.

While the top bonus will decrease from VND2.078 billion last year, the lowest will increase from VND4.8 million.
The average bonus will be VND12.7 million per person, a marginal increase from last year's VND12.3 million.
For the Gregorian New Year, the highest bonus is VND1.8 billion, also paid by a foreign company. The average bonus is VND3.4 million.
As for salaries paid in 2024, the highest monthly figure was VND863 million, the average was VND12.4 million and the lowest was VND6.2 million.
The highest salary decreased from last year's VND931.5 million, but the other two numbers saw an increase.
Of the 1,570 companies that furnished data, 394 (25%) reported difficulties in paying Tet bonuses due to lack of orders, scaled-back operations, debt collection problems, and loan interest burdens.
Nevertheless, most companies have strived to pay bonuses according to regulations and labor contracts.
Many have also given gifts, shopping vouchers and lucky money and organized free trips to their hometowns for employees for Tet, the country’s most important holiday and an occasion for an annual family reunion.
HCMC has over 500,000 companies with more than 2.5 million workers, based on social insurance data.
Industrial parks, export processing zones and high-tech zones account for around 1,800 businesses with 250,000 employees.
Over 20 other provinces and cities have also disclosed Tet bonus plans, with the highest being VND700 million by a Da Nang enterprise.
This year there will be a nine-day holiday for Tet between the 26th day of the 12th lunar month (Jan. 25) and the fifth day of the new year (Feb. 2).
