Vietnam reports eight new cases on Thursday morning, all are patients under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. The hospital is being locked down for two weeks starting on Wednesday until May 19 after a doctor tested positive for coronavirus..

Four new cases were reported on Tuesday morning, including 2 community infection. One man in Da Nang who we already reported yesterday and one man in Hanoi relating to the Chinese experts.

(BGO) – According to the Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (Steering Board) in Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province), the district on May 1 localized, traced and applied home isolation to 5 households in the villages of San, Nguyen and Chau Lo in Mai Dinh commune after their close contact to Covid-19 suspected case.     

The Ministry of Health confirmed 14 new Covid-19 patients Saturday evening - three community transmission cases, and 11 imported ones.

No new cases reported on Saturday morning.
